Baltimore Arena is situated in the state of Maryland. The facility which is located in Baltimore managed by SMG and owned by the city of Baltimore has a capacity of about 14,000 seats. The opening of the arena was in 1962. The arena used to be known as 1st Mariner Arena but the naming rights have ended with the expiration of contract signed with 1st Mariner Bank in 2013. The arena was also called Baltimore Civic Center.

Baltimore Arena 201 W Baltimore St, Baltimore, MD, 21201

Since its opening, the arena hosted a lot of events range between sports and music. From 1962 until 1976, the facility was home to the AHL team Baltimore Clippers. Later, after the withdrawal of Clippers, the Baltimore Blades play their games there. From 1963 until 1973, the stadium was also home to the basketball franchise Baltimore Bullets. Between 1981 and 1993, the minor ice hockey team Baltimore Skipjacks took the venue as their home.

Different other sports events have been hosted in the venue including bull riding competition Built Ford Tough Series. It also held the WWE PPV No Way Out of 2006 in which The Undertaker named World Heavyweight Championship after he defeated Kurt Angle. It also hosted other big WWE events including the WWE PPV Backlash that was organized in 2008 and the winner was Triple H over defeated Randy Orton.

The venue hosts not only sports games, but also other events including concerts. For instance, the legendary band The Beatles have performed there in 1964. As part of anime and East Asian culture convention, the venue hosted the US debut of Japanese rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel. The Rolling Stones performed in the arena in 2006. Different other artists have performed in the city including Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, The E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen and many others.
